The FriendFinder data center – one of the largest in the world! – is designed to meet and exceed the requirements of our customers and partners with state-of-the-art facilities and support. Our secure data center is strategically located in Santa Clara, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley. The location provides many redundancies in a large facility with virtually unlimited room to grow, which enables us to continue to meet the growing data security and access demands of our industry, as well as our ever-increasing customer base, for years to come.
We also disclose Personal Information to our service providers (for example, credit card processing companies, billing services) as reasonably necessary or appropriate to provide services on the FFN Websites. Our service providers are legally required by us to protect your Personal Information. Because many of the FFN Websites operate or use service providers located in different countries, your Personal Information may be transferred to a country in which you do not reside, and while in that foreign country, may be accessible to its law enforcement authorities.

We note that despite our best efforts to remove information from our database on your request, removed information may exist in backup copies or other users' caches. As an example, an information exchange with another Member may remain in that Member's e-mail boxes, computer caches, or instant message archive. Whether your exchanged information is kept by another Member is beyond the control of FFN.
In 1994, Andrew Conru created the first online dating site,[citation needed] WebPersonals. After selling that site in 1995, he launched FriendFinder.com, an early social networking site, in 1996.[3] Days after the site went live, Conru found that people were posting naked pictures of themselves and seeking partners for adult-oriented activities. As a result, Conru started Adult FriendFinder, which he described as "a release valve". FriendFinder has since established other niche dating sites, including Senior FriendFinder, Amigos.com, BigChurch.com, and Alt.com.[4]
As these ads go offline, we spoke to a 25-year-old man in New York who used Craigslist’s personal ads — specifically the casual encounters section — as a way of finding casual sex in his early 20s. He spoke to us on condition of anonymity, because, well, that’s what Craigslist personals were all about. It’s part of what made them successful, he thinks.

This Policy only addresses the use and disclosure of Personal Information that we collect from you. To the extent that you disclose your Personal Information to others while using the FFN Websites or other websites throughout the internet, different rules may apply to its use, maintenance, or disclosure. FFN does not control the privacy policies of third parties, and you are subject to the privacy policies or practices of those third parties.
Recently I saw an ad on TV with a testimonial from some couple that got married after having met on a dating site. It reminded me of how blessed I am to have met my wife as a DIRECT RESULT OF one of your sites. It also occurred to me that as I approach my 5th wedding anniversary in February, I have yet to officially let your organization know about our success. I wanted to share them with you.
Yahoo! Personals did a lot of wonderful things for a lot of singles, but it wasn’t really able to keep up with the dating sites of today, especially Match. The dating industry may have lost a personals dating service in 2010, but you’re still in good hands and can meet people online through a number of ways. You’ve got plenty of awesome sites to turn to, including the five we just told you about. Now, Godspeed!
Your search features are lousy. I would like very much to be able to search for a man within 50 miles who is in my age range. Why can't I do that? The men that you put on my recommendation list almost never even live in my city, which was a specification I provided. Most of them are from other cities and some of them are even from other states! And when you put me on their lists, I get mail from a bunch of guys who don’t live anywhere near me and it’s a complete waste of time. I think when you put just a picture and nothing else, especially the city and state they live in, there is no way we can tell if we are interested without opening the person’s entire profile and seeing where they live. You’re having us only judge them by their looks alone, and that is not how I judge a man. What a waste of time.
Most major web browsers are set up so that they will initially accept cookies, but you may modify your computer's preferences to issue you an alert when a cookie is downloaded, or to disable the ability of third parties to download a cookie to you. If you choose to reject all cookies, there are areas of FFN Websites that may not function properly. You may obtain further information about cookies and how they function at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie.
We may also use standard Internet technology, such as web beacons or 1x1 "gifs" and other similar technologies (collectively "Pixel Tags"). A Pixel Tag is an electronic image, often a single pixel (1x1), that is ordinarily not visible to Members and may be associated with cookies on the Members' storage drives. We use Pixel Tags to track your use of the FFN Websites, for advertising, marketing, or promotional purposes, and to determine whether you opened an email message from us. The information also enables us to customize the services we offer.

Every day at FFN is exciting given the breadth, and scope of projects we cover. Everyone is super helpful and willing to share knowledge! There is plenty of opportunity to be heard and the open door policy that executives have definitely makes me to feel like my voice is heard. I feel valued, and respected. Everyone works together in a the true spirit of camaraderie and teamwork to deliver their best each day. I feel passionate about getting to work each day!
I've been working at FFN for the last 5 years starting out as a Marketing Intern and now a Business Development Manager. My time here has really been one of the most rewarding experiences within my professional and personal life. With the help of FFN and the school reimbursement program, I've been able to obtain my bachelor’s degree in International Business and I will be starting my MBA classes this upcoming year! To add onto this year, I also had my first child and my second family, “the FFN family” has been phenomenal in supporting and understanding the major life changes that has impacted me. Best company ever!
